Cookie Policy
Last updated: July 30, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how ProBizPay ("we", "us", "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on probizpay.com. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which describes how we handle personal information more generally.
This policy covers our public marketing website. Our web application at app.probizpay.com additionally uses cookies that are strictly necessary to keep you signed in and to operate the product.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work, to remember your preferences, and to provide information to the site owner. We also use related technologies such as local storage, which stores data in your browser in a similar way. In this policy, "cookies" refers to all of these technologies.
Cookies set by us are called first-party cookies. Cookies set by another organisation are third-party cookies — these let third parties recognise your device across different websites.
2. How We Categorise Cookies
Our cookie banner groups cookies into the following categories. You can change your choice at any time — see section 6.
2.1 Strictly Necessary
Required for the website to function. These cannot be switched off. They include the cookie that remembers your cookie preferences themselves, and security and load-balancing cookies. No consent is required for these.
2.2 Functional
Remember choices you make to improve your experience — for example dismissing a notice or retaining a preference between visits. Disabling these may make parts of the site less convenient but will not prevent it from working.
2.3 Analytics
Help us understand how visitors find and use the site — which pages are visited, how long people stay, and where traffic comes from. We use this to improve our content and performance. This data is aggregated and used for statistical purposes.
2.4 Advertising and Measurement
Used to measure the effectiveness of our advertising and, where applicable, to show you relevant ads on third-party platforms. These cookies may be used to build a profile of your interests and to recognise your device across other websites.
3. Cookies and Technologies We Use
3.1 First-Party Storage
- probizpay_cookie_consent (browser local storage, strictly necessary) — records your cookie preferences and the version of this policy you were shown, so we do not ask you on every visit. Persists until you clear your browser storage or reset your choice.
3.2 Google Tag Manager
We use Google Tag Manager to load and manage the tags described below. Tag Manager itself does not set cookies that identify you; it is a container that controls which of the following are loaded.
3.3 Google Analytics 4 (analytics)
- _ga — distinguishes unique visitors. Typically expires after 2 years.
- _ga_<container-id> — used by Google Analytics 4 to persist session state. Typically expires after 2 years.
These are provided by Google. See Google's Privacy Policy.
3.4 Meta Pixel (advertising and measurement)
- _fbp — set by Meta to identify browsers for advertising and site-analytics purposes. Typically expires after 3 months.
- _fbc — stores the click identifier when you arrive from a Meta advert, so a later action can be attributed to that advert. Typically expires after 3 months.
The Meta Pixel tells us when a visit or an enquiry occurs so we can measure our advertising. See Meta's Privacy Policy.
3.5 Google Ads (advertising and measurement)
We use Google Ads conversion tracking to measure the results of our advertising. This may set cookies in the google.com and googleadservices.com domains, such as _gcl_au, typically expiring after 90 days.
3.6 Embedded Content
Our contact page embeds a form served from app.probizpay.com. Submitting it sends the details you enter to us so that we can respond to your enquiry.
Cookie names and lifetimes are set by the relevant third party and may change without notice to us. The list above describes our use at the date of this policy.
4. Why We Use Them
- To make the website function and remember your cookie choices.
- To understand which pages and topics are useful, so we can improve them.
- To measure whether our advertising reaches people who find ProBizPay relevant.
- To diagnose faults and monitor performance and security.
We do not use cookies to collect special categories of personal data, and we do not sell the information collected through them.
5. Legal Basis
Where required by law, we rely on your consent for functional, analytics, and advertising cookies. Strictly necessary cookies are used on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating a secure, functioning website. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing carried out before you withdrew it.
6. Managing Your Choices
6.1 On This Site
When you first visit, our cookie banner lets you accept or decline non-essential categories. To change your decision later, clear this site's data in your browser and reload the page — the banner will appear again.
6.2 In Your Browser
All major browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. Blocking all cookies will prevent parts of this website, and most others, from working correctly. Guidance is available for Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge.
6.3 Opting Out Directly
- Google Analytics — the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
- Google Ads — Google Ad Settings.
- Meta — the advert preferences in your Facebook or Instagram account settings.
6.4 Do Not Track
There is no accepted industry standard for responding to "Do Not Track" browser signals, and this site does not currently respond to them. Use the controls above instead.
7. Third-Party Transfers
Some providers named above are located outside your country and may process data in the United States or elsewhere. Where personal data is transferred internationally, those providers rely on their own safeguards, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses. Details are in each provider's own privacy notice, linked in section 3.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in the technologies we use or in the law. The date at the top shows when it was last revised. Where changes are significant, we will ask for your consent again through the cookie banner.
